Ring a ding ding. Bring on the {dried} bling.
It was the year that ‘tropical’ settled in for the long haul, the appeal of earth tones and tarnished metals strengthened, flower crowns took centre stage, 70’s elements stomped around, African design became a force, and purple surprised us as Pantone’s hero.
And you, you did it all with us! Thank you, thank you, thank you… for trusting us, journeying with us, giving us incredible creative opportunities, as well as ‘bread and butter’ ones too. We truly love what we do and you make it all possible.
To inspire and enchant ahead of the festivities, each stylist here at Hire Society HQ has created a bespoke wreath with carefully foraged foliage, delicate wisps of wild flora and roughly cut up dried pieces.
We’re in love. Obviously.
The dried trend is a move toward a more eco-aware state and creating a society where nature is at the forefront of discussion. Clearly, we’re craving the natural simplicity that comes from dried goods and foraged bits, creating another way of connecting with nature in our homes and lives.
If you don’t have a perfect pine circle perched on your front door (even if you do!), take part in this reinvented trend, join the revolution and create your own special wreath this festive season. The key is to work with sparse, twiggy florals combined with strong structured pieces, playing with different textures and subtle colours to achieve a contemporary look.
Wishing you a splendid Christmas (or just a fabulous holiday, if that’s not how you roll) and the fullness of God’s blessing in the year ahead.
Here’s to 2019 and all the surprises, occasions and excitement it promises.
We will be closing for the Festive Season on Friday, 14 December 2018 and will re-open on Monday, January 7 2019.
